indigenous of chile From this work, we will be able to inform us of the great variety of Chilean Indigenous people who, before us, poblated our lands. Many of them are already extinct, only left important manifestations of their culture, giving us know their beliefs, economic activities and customs. What characterized Chilean territory in the Prehispanic period, from north to south, was  the existence of different peoples with different levels of cultural development. At the arrival of the Spaniards, in Chile were farmers and potters; Hunters and Gatherers; and lastly the Nomads Fishermen. Its estimated that Man arrived in Chile before 10,000 BC. As a testimony of that,  is the Ghatchi deposit, at east of San Pedro de Atacama. In the central zone, its difficult to say of what cardinal point the man came from the north or from the east. At 9,000 BC belong the remains found in the Taguatagua lake. The oldest footprint was found in the Fell cave, in the north of the Strait of Magel
